Honoring Juneteenth Through Action: A New Chapter in Community Engagement

This Juneteenth, we’re proud to share a story that started with one Booster’s passion—and sparked a movement across our organization.
One of our cherished team members is spending time on the South Side of Chicago, working directly with youth to raise awareness about community issues and inspire the next generation. Her commitment to getting involved in her own backyard reminded us all that real change begins at home.
In her honor—and in the spirit of Juneteenth—we’re rolling out a new policy:
**Every Booster now receives 4 hours of paid volunteer time** to support any cause they care about.
Whether it’s mentoring students, supporting local food banks, or advocating for social justice, we believe in the power of showing up. We believe in action. And we believe that when we care about what happens in our communities, we create a ripple effect of change.
To help our team (and others) get started, we’re spotlighting Percent Pledge Chicago. They make it easy for companies to connect with impactful, team-friendly volunteer opportunities—from food repacking at the Greater Chicago Food Depository to mentoring youth and supporting education initiatives.
This June 19th, we applaud every Booster—and every person—who chooses to care, to educate, and to act. Let’s keep building a future rooted in equality, compassion, and community.
